Atlantic Inferno is the first produced, and broadcast, episode of the second season of the British television series Thunderbirds.
When Jeff Tracy is invited to spend a few days' vacation on Lady Penelope's Australian sheep farm, Scott moves up to take temporary charge of International Rescue. However, when strange jets of fire from the ocean floor surround an offshore rig - triggering multiple crises for its crew - Scott's leadership skills are put to the test...
- Jeremy Wilkin takes over from David Holiday, as the voice of Virgil.
- Alan pilots a refurbished Thunderbird 1 - twice! - in this episode (his regular ride, Thunderbird 3, debuts its own new-look cockpit in future episodes).
- At Tracy Island, the Tracy Lounge has also been redecorated (including all five Tracy brothers' wall portraits).
- And, perhaps most strikingly, Thunderbird 5 debuts its new look - including extensive redecoration and new equipment stations.
