Included are living quarters for its residents (Mike Mercury, Dr. Horatio Beaker, Professor Popkiss, Jimmy Gibson and Mitch, and frequent visitor Bill Gibson), along with technical facilities for Supercar itself - notably its spacious launch bay, whose retractable roof-doors allow for the VTOL-capable experimental craft's comings and goings.

The exterior of Black Rock appears to bear at least a superficial resemblance to A.P Films' facility, located on Ipswich Road (on the Slough Trading Estate), where the Supercar series was filmed.
