Francis Matthews (2 September 1927 - 14 June 2014) was a British actor. He was best known for his work in the British-German television series Paul Temple, playing the character of the same name.
He voiced Captain Scarlet in the series of a similar name, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. He was originally contacted to provide guest voices for Thunderbirds, but refused - being replaced by either Matt Zimmerman or John Tate.
