Jodie Mellon is a guest character from the British television series Supercar.
He appears in the episode A Little Art.
He was voiced by Graydon Gould (see note below).
Grand Theft - Artwork![]
An habitual criminal, Mellon fell in league with art-forger and counterfeiter Bud Hassler, who - during his time in prison - told him of a location in the Mexican desert where he had hidden plates for printing counterfeit-US dollars, and of the painting he made (Mexican Plain) that described the exact steps to locate them. Mellon put this knowledge to use and sought out an old accomplice, Steindorf, to retrieve the painting...
Easier plotted, than accomplished...for the painting in question had been sold - to a Doctor Horatio Beaker in Black Rock, Nevada! Not that this deterred him - under cover of darkness, he simply stole it. But what neither man knew, was that by then the artwork's new owner had sprayed it with a solvent which dissolved the top-most layer of paint off the canvas - rendering it useless to their plans to find and retrieve the funny-money printing-plates! Mellon quickly abandoned Steindorf, after that; and whether or not he was later arrested along with Steindorf is not known...
Trivia[]
This character is not to be confused with Jodie, from the later episode Atomic Witch Hunt (especially since Graydon Gould voiced both of them).
