Joe's Glasses are a special piece of equipment Joe McClaine uses as W.I.N.'s Most Special Agent.
Though they may resemble ordinary oval lensed, black rimmed glasses, each temple has a hidden electrode on each side to keep storage of brain patterns from any chosen individual (in the same way as the BIG RAT) that Joe needs to complete his missions such as a pilot or astronaut.
Joe also keeps them with a special case that holds all the rest of his W.I.N. equipment. As long as he wears the glasses, he retains the knowledge he needs. Without them, he is just an ordinary child.
Trivia[]
During a few of his missions in some episodes, Joe has unintentionally lost his glasses under certain circumstances and has had to get them back. Two such times were in Hi-Jacked when they fell off as a steel caged door closed in on him and in Double Agent during a fight with Dr. Newman, who knocked them off his face.
