Why? He is an alien from outer space, who embarks upon a lengthy journey "halfway across the universe" to the distant planet Earth - on a very special mission, to a certain very secret base in the American state of Nevada...
Kalmus, along with his equally-otherworldly countryman Planitimus, appears in the second-series episode The Day That Time Stood Still.
He was voiced by David Graham.
